What is Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) is a collaborative project management approach in the construction industry that emphasizes early involvement and cooperation among key stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and sometimes owners. The primary goal of IPD is to enhance project efficiency, minimize waste, and optimize outcomes by fostering joint decision-making, shared risk and reward structures, and open communication throughout the project lifecycle. By encouraging the integration of diverse expertise and leveraging technologies like Building Information Modeling (BIM), IPD seeks to overcome traditional challenges associated with fragmented communication and adversarial relationships in construction projects, ultimately leading to improved project outcomes.
