Business Details

If you are travelling through the area or planning your stay, one of your first stops should be the Forest Interpretive Centre. Why? It's where you will find all the Visitor Information for the region. Located just off of Highway 43 at the southeast edge of Whitecourt. The facility is home to the Visitor Information Centre, Meteorite Display, Interpretive Gallery, and Heritage Park. The Forest Interpretive Centre is a great place to stop and stretch your legs. There are walking trails throughout the area, a playground, a great location to watch the Northern Lights and the Heritage Park. The Park is home to three visitor-accessible buildings to explore at your own pace or take in a guided tour. Be sure to stop by the museum and gallery to learn about the importance of the forest and forest industry in the development of the region and explore the regional history. Also on site is the Meteorite Display with information and directions to visit the site in person and view the history and overview of the Whitecourt Meteorite.
